Among the high peaks of the Southern Alps, Queenstown is New Zealand's capital city located adventure. Find a variety of activities both summer and winter. From skiing and snowboarding, paragliding and skydiving, or experience the world's first bungy jump Queenstown site has it for those who want action. For everyone who likes it a bit slower you read in the golf course or playing a game of Bocce in the beautiful surroundings of the Botanical Gardens. Or go on a cruise around the lake on an old paddle steamer. So for young and old Queenstown has something for everyone, a top ranking for a holiday.
There are 2 major ski resorts in Queenstown Remarkables and Coronet Peak, all with different features for every level of skiing and boarding students. The Remarkables is one of the best snow parks, privelidge that I had to ride, and also has some really good off-piste / backcountry runs today require too much of a hike. The Homeward bound variable surfaces, this means that if you turn right from Alta Chair and follow the beam over a small ridge that opens, you can find a solid powder area.
Coronet Peak has some fantastic resources, prompt chairs and a new base building, it is a must for all visitors to Queenstown. There are a lot of longer runs on CP and select the terrain is very funny. There are also 2 snow parks and a halfpipe.
So all you need for snow junkies to some of the good things coming southern hemisphere winter in Queenstown.
